Mr. Y. S. Mansaray
Class Two and Three Teacher
DECTOSA proudly recognizes Mr. Y. S. Mansaray, a native of Fadugu, who served as one of our Class Two and Three teachers. Beyond his role in the classroom, he was one of the most artistic teachers of our time, bringing creativity and visual expression into the school environment.
The artistic drawings displayed on the featured walls of the teachers’ residence were all the work of Mr. Y. S. Mansaray. These drawings not only beautified the school surroundings but also reflected his talent, imagination, and ability to inspire creativity among pupils.
Beyond education, Mr. Mansaray has continued a life of service and leadership and currently serves as the Mandinka Chief of Fadugu, a position that reflects the respect and trust he commands within his community. During a visit to Fadugu in April 2024, it was both humbling and inspiring to reconnect with him and witness his continued dedication to leadership and cultural preservation.
DECTOSA honors Mr. Y. S. Mansaray for his dual legacy as an educator and artist and for the lasting impact of his teaching, creativity, and leadership.
