Aims and Objectives

The D.E.C. School Thankorosidia Old Students Association (DECTOSA) is established with the primary aim of supporting positive and sustainable change at D.E.C. School Thankorosidia, in response to the growing needs of the school and its pupils.

Since its establishment in 1972, the school has largely relied on the same three-classroom building, while student enrollment has continued to grow over the years. This growth has placed increasing pressure on learning space, infrastructure, and the overall learning environment. DECTOSA recognizes that meaningful education requires not only committed teachers and pupils but also safe, adequate, and modern facilities.

Our Aims

  • To contribute to the improvement and modernization of school infrastructure
  • To support a safe, spacious, and conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers
  • To preserve the legacy of the school while adapting it to present and future educational needs

Our Objectives

  • To mobilize old students and well-wishers to support renovation of existing classrooms
  • To advocate for and support the construction of additional classrooms, including the possible addition of two new classroom blocks
  • To promote modernization through improved facilities such as better roofing, flooring, ventilation, furniture, and learning resources
  • To work collaboratively with school authorities, community leaders, and education stakeholders in planning and implementation
  • To ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainability in all development initiatives undertaken by the Association

Through these aims and objectives, DECTOSA seeks to transform D.E.C. School Thankorosidia into a learning environment that reflects the growth of its student population and the aspirations of the community it serves.

By honoring our roots, we commit ourselves to building a better future for the school and generations to come.
