A Pillar of Community Support and Quiet Leadership
The D.E.C. School Thankorosidia Old Students Association (DECTOSA) proudly recognizes and honors Pa Foray Kamara for his significant role and enduring contribution to the establishment and early life of D.E.C. School Thankorosidia.
Pa Foray Kamara was among the respected elders and community figures whose support, guidance, and commitment helped create an environment in which education could take root in Thankorosidia. Though his contributions were often carried out quietly and without public recognition, his influence was deeply felt within the community and among the families whose children benefited from the opportunity to attend school.
As a community elder and household head, Pa Foray Kamara played an important role in encouraging education, supporting community decisions, and fostering unity during the formative period of the school. From his household came some of the pioneer pupils of D.E.C. School Thankorosidia, reflecting his personal belief in the value of education and his willingness to lead by example.
His home served as a place of guidance, discipline, and encouragement, embodying the values that the school itself sought to instill—respect, responsibility, and perseverance. Through his support of the elders’ collective efforts and his commitment to the education of the younger generation, Pa Foray Kamara helped strengthen the foundation upon which the school was built.
DECTOSA honors Pa Foray Kamara as a pillar of community support, whose life and actions contributed to the success and sustainability of D.E.C. School Thankorosidia. His legacy lives on through the generations he helped nurture and the values he upheld, reminding us that meaningful leadership is often expressed through service, consistency, and example.
May his memory continue to inspire us, and may his contributions remain a source of pride for our community.
